Using Your Account Page
Understand the buttons, alerts, and tabs on an Instagram account's page in Influxie — and what to do when you see a payment issue, reconnection prompt, or 'no engagement setup'.
Using Your Account Page
When you click an Instagram account from your Accounts list, you open that account’s page. This page is where you keep an eye on the account and take action — start or stop a session, fix a payment problem, reconnect Instagram, or re-run the setup.
This guide walks through what you’ll see and what each button does.
The Three Tabs
Every account page has three tabs across the top:
- Analytics — opens by default. Charts of this account’s performance over time.
- Sessions — a list of past session reports.
- Account Info — key facts about the account (follower count, category, subscription). See Understanding the Account Info Tab.
The Live Status Badge
When a session is underway, you’ll see a small status badge near the account name showing one of three states: Launching, Running, or Closing.
While the account is Launching, the page quietly checks for updates every 10 seconds, so the badge moves on by itself — you don’t need to refresh.
The Action Buttons (the most important one wins)
The buttons near the top of the page change depending on what’s going on with the account. Only the most important action is shown at any time. Here’s what each one means and what to do.
1. Payment Issue (whole page replaced)
If a payment has failed and the account was never set up, the entire page is replaced by a “Payment issue” card.
- Owners and Admins see a link to go and fix the payment.
- Editors and Viewers are told to contact their Owner or Admin to sort it out.
What to do: if you’re an Owner or Admin, follow the link to update your payment method. If you’re an Editor or Viewer, ask your Owner or Admin to fix it.
2. Payment Problem Alert
If a payment has failed but the account is already set up, you’ll see a red alert — “There is an issue with payment” — and (for Owners and Admins) a “Resolve payment issue” button.
What to do: Owners and Admins click the button to update payment in the Stripe portal. Editors and Viewers should contact their Owner or Admin.
3. Reconnection Required
Sometimes Instagram asks you to log in again. When this happens you’ll see a red banner and a “Reconnect Instagram” button (Editors and above).
What to do: click Reconnect Instagram and go through the connection steps again. This is normal from time to time — see Connection Issues if it keeps happening.
4. A Session Is Running
When the bot is actively running, you’ll see a “Stop session” button.
What to do: click it if you want to stop the bot early. You’ll be asked “End your session?” to confirm.
5. No Session Running
When everything’s fine and nothing is running, you’ll see one of two buttons:
- “Setup engagement” — shown in red when your account is connected but the targeting hasn’t been configured yet. (The account shows a “No engagement setup” status on the Accounts list.) Click this to go and set up who the bot should interact with. See Configuring Engagement Settings.
- “Start a session” — shown once targeting is set up. Click it to run the bot. You’ll be reminded to close Instagram on your other devices first.
Reinit (always available)
There’s also a “Reinit” button. This re-runs the original connection wizard — useful if the connection is misbehaving and you want to start fresh. It takes you back through the connect steps.
The Setup Engagement Bridge
A brand-newly connected account shows a “No engagement setup” status (in brand colour, not grey). That’s Influxie’s way of saying: “the Instagram account is connected, but you haven’t told the bot who to interact with yet.”
The “Setup engagement” button is the bridge — it takes you from “connected” to “configured”. Once you’ve set up your targeting, the status changes and you can start sessions.
The Connection Progress Notifier
When an Instagram account is being connected (or reconnected), a small progress note slides up at the bottom of the screen. It tracks how the connection is going so you can keep using other parts of Influxie while you wait.
- There’s one note per connection at a time.
- The note is hidden on the account’s own setup page (because that page already shows full progress).
If you start a connection and wander off to another page, this little notifier keeps you informed.
What Happens While an Account Is “Pending”
When an account is freshly added but not finished setting up, it has a “Pending” status. What you see depends on your role:
- Owners, Admins, and Editors: opening the account sends you into the setup wizard to continue connecting it.
- Viewers: opening it sends you back to the Accounts list (viewers can’t set up accounts).
