Introduction

Every Influxie session generates a detailed report when it completes. These reports are gold mines of information that help you understand what’s working, what isn’t, and how to optimize your Instagram growth strategy over time.

Where to Find Session Reports

Accessing Session History

  1. Navigate to your account dashboard
  2. Click on the Sessions tab
  3. View a complete history of all past sessions

Viewing Individual Reports

  1. In the sessions list, find the session you want to review
  2. Click the “View” button
  3. The report opens as a side panel on desktop (or full screen on mobile) with comprehensive metrics

Session List Information

The Sessions tab is a paginated history of past sessions, newest first, 10 per page. Each row shows the date plus a status badge:

Status Badges:

  • Closing (orange): the session wrapped up normally
  • Session error (red): the session encountered an issue
  • Otherwise the row shows just the date (there is no “Done” or “Completed” badge)

Session Report Overview

What’s Included in Every Report

Each session report provides comprehensive data on:

Actions Performed:

  • Followers and following counts
  • Likes given
  • Stories watched
  • Comments posted (currently disabled—upcoming feature)
  • Direct messages sent (currently disabled—upcoming feature)

Session Details:

  • Start and end time
  • Total duration

Results:

  • New followers gained
  • Engagement metrics
  • Any errors or warnings encountered

Key Metrics Explained

Follows and Unfollows

Follows Completed: Number of new accounts followed during the session

What This Tells You:

  • Your targeting is finding users to engage with
  • Follow settings are configured correctly
  • Session duration is sufficient for meaningful results

Unfollows Completed: Number of accounts unfollowed during the session

What This Tells You:

  • Unfollow strategy is executing
  • You’re managing follower ratios
  • Cleaning up non-reciprocal follows

Healthy Balance: Most users aim for 2:1 or 3:1 follow-to-unfollow ratios initially, then adjust based on goals.

Likes Given

Total Likes: Number of posts liked during the session

What This Tells You:

  • Your like settings are working
  • Content targeting is finding posts
  • Engagement activity is visible to others

Strategy Insight: High like counts with low follows may indicate you should adjust your targeting or follow strategy.

Stories Watched

Stories Viewed: Number of Instagram stories watched during the session

What This Tells You:

  • Story watching is enabled and working
  • You’re increasing visibility with target users
  • Engagement is multi-dimensional (not just likes/follows)

Why Stories Matter:

  • Stories appear at the top of feeds
  • High engagement opportunity
  • Shows genuine interest in content

Comments Posted

Comments Written: Number of comments posted

Comments and direct messages are currently disabled in Influxie and will appear in a future update. When the feature ships, this metric will reflect comment activity from the session.

Note: Comments require careful management to avoid appearing spammy. Plan to monitor comment quality closely once the feature is available.

Session Duration

Total Run Time: How long the session actually ran

Why This Matters:

  • Sessions that stop early may indicate issues
  • Longer sessions provide more data for optimization
  • Helps calculate actions-per-hour rates

Expected Duration:

  • Should match your maximum run time setting
  • May be shorter if stopped manually
  • May be shorter if per-session limits are reached
  • Sessions stop automatically when the maximum run time is reached

Follower Growth

New Followers: Number of new followers gained from the session

What This Tells You:

  • Your strategy is attracting followers
  • Targeting is reaching the right audience
  • Content quality + managed engagement = growth

Important Context:

  • Not every follow converts to a follow-back
  • Typical follow-back rates vary widely by niche and targeting
  • Growth compounds over time with consistent sessions

Patience Required: Follower growth is gradual. Focus on trends over weeks, not individual session results.

Understanding Errors and Warnings

Session Errors

Errors indicate problems that prevented normal session completion:

Common Errors:

  • Authentication Failed: Instagram login issue
  • Session Interrupted: Connection was interrupted
  • Action Blocked: Instagram temporarily blocked actions
  • Configuration Error: Settings issue

What to Do:

  1. Note the error message
  2. Check account status (may need to reconnect)
  3. Review configuration
  4. Try reducing limits before running again

Session Warnings

Warnings indicate potential issues but sessions completed:

Common Warnings:

  • Approaching Per-Session Limits: Nearly reached configured maximum
  • Few Targets Found: Difficulty finding users matching criteria
  • Unusual Delays: Slower action pace than normal

What to Do:

  • Note warnings for context
  • Adjust targeting if needed
  • Usually not critical for next session

Analyzing Session Performance Over Time

Comparing Sessions

The real power of session reports comes from comparing results across multiple sessions:

Week-Over-Week Comparisons:

  • Are action counts increasing or decreasing?
  • Which days/times produce best results?
  • How has follower growth trended?

Configuration Testing:

  • Before: Test a specific configuration for a week
  • After: Review session reports to evaluate
  • Decision: Keep, adjust, or abandon the approach

Identifying Patterns

Look for trends in your session history:

Best Performing Sessions:

  • What time did they run?
  • What configuration was used?
  • What targeting methods were active?

Worst Performing Sessions:

  • Was targeting too restrictive?
  • Were per-session limits too low?
  • Did errors interrupt the session?

Actionable Insights: Use these patterns to refine your strategy continuously.

Using Session Data to Improve Strategy

Optimization Cycle

  1. Run Sessions: Execute with current configuration
  2. Review Reports: Analyze what worked and what didn’t
  3. Identify Changes: What could be improved?
  4. Adjust Configuration: Make targeted changes
  5. Repeat: Run new sessions and compare results

Example Optimization

Initial State:

  • Session: 50 likes, 5 follows, 0 new followers
  • Issue: High likes, low follows, no growth

Analysis:

  • Likes working but not converting
  • Follow strategy may need targeting adjustment

Adjustment:

  • Change from feed interaction to hashtag targeting
  • Test specific hashtags in your niche
  • Reduce likes, increase follows slightly

Retest: Run sessions for a week and compare new reports

Metrics to Focus On

For New Accounts:

  • Action completion (are things working?)
  • No errors or warnings
  • Gradual increase in engagement

For Growth Phase:

  • Follower growth rate
  • Follow-back percentage
  • Engagement quality (not just quantity)

For Optimization Phase:

  • Actions-per-hour efficiency
  • Best-performing targeting methods
  • Optimal session times

Common Session Report Questions

Why did my session stop early?

Possible Causes:

  • Manual stop
  • Per-session limits reached
  • Error occurred
  • Configuration issue

Check: The session report will indicate the reason. Review error messages or warnings for details.

Is this number of actions normal?

Context Matters:

  • Account age (new vs. established)
  • Session duration
  • Configuration settings
  • Targeting method

General Guidelines: Compare to your own previous sessions rather than absolute benchmarks.

Why didn’t I gain more followers?

Reality Check:

  • Follow-back rates vary widely — there is no typical number
  • Growth compounds over time
  • Quality matters more than quantity

Focus On: Consistency over weeks/months, not individual session results.

Should I be worried about errors?

Context:

  • One-time errors: Usually not concerning
  • Repeated errors: Need investigation
  • Type of error matters

Action: Note error patterns and adjust configuration accordingly. Reach out to support if issues persist.

Troubleshooting Through Reports

Sessions Consistently Underperforming

Signs:

  • Lower actions than expected
  • No follower growth over time
  • Frequent errors or warnings

Solutions:

  1. Review targeting—is it too restrictive?
  2. Check per-session limits—are they too conservative?
  3. Verify configuration—is everything enabled correctly?
  4. Consider account age—may need slower pace

Errors Appearing Regularly

Pattern Analysis:

  • Same error every time? Configuration or account issue
  • Intermittent errors? May be Instagram-related

Action: Document error patterns and contact support if needed.

Stagnant Growth

Signs:

  • Actions consistent but no follower growth
  • Same metrics week after week

Solutions:

  1. Refresh targeting methods
  2. Test new hashtags or specific accounts
  3. Adjust follow/unfollow ratios
  4. Review content quality (engagement amplifies your content)
