Common Login and Authentication Issues
Having trouble accessing your Influxie account? This guide covers the most common login and authentication problems and how to resolve them.
Can’t Log In to Influxie
Issue: Incorrect Email or Password
Symptoms:
- “Invalid credentials” error message
- Login page reloads without error message
Solutions:
-
Verify your email address:
- Check for typos in your email
- Try any email addresses you might have used
- Use the “Forgot Password” link to verify your email
-
Reset your password:
- Click “Forgot Password” on the login page
- Enter your registered email address
- Check your inbox for reset email (may be in spam)
- Click the reset link and create a new password
- Try logging in with your new password
-
Check password requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters
- Must include uppercase and lowercase letters, at least one number, and one special character
- Reset link expires in 1 hour — request a new one if it has been longer
Issue: Account Not Verified
Symptoms:
- “Please activate your account” message after attempting to log in
- You are redirected to the activate screen
- Cannot access dashboard until activated
Solutions:
-
Check your email inbox:
- Look for Influxie activation email
- Check spam/junk folders
- Search for “Influxie” or “activate”
-
Request a new activation email:
- On the activate screen, click “Send again”
- Wait 2-3 minutes for the email to arrive
- Click the activation link
-
Important: Activation is required:
- Signup does not log you in automatically — you must activate via the email link
- You cannot complete onboarding until activated
- This is a mandatory security step before accessing any features
If the activation email hasn’t arrived, see the Email Not Received section below for checking spam, whitelisting, and resending.
Issue: “Session Expired” or Suddenly Logged Out
Symptoms:
- Suddenly logged out while using the app
- “Session expired” message appears
- Need to log in again frequently
Solutions:
-
Simply log in again:
- This is normal security behavior
- Sessions use a fixed 2-hour cookie — they are not based on inactivity
- Just log in with your credentials to continue
-
Use “Keep me signed in”:
- Tick “Keep me signed in” on the login page to extend the session beyond the default 2 hours
- Useful if you find yourself logging in too often
Email Not Received
If an activation or password-reset email hasn’t arrived:
- Check all folders — inbox, spam/junk, promotions, social, updates, and archive. Activation and reset emails are often flagged as spam.
- Wait a few minutes — email delivery can take up to 10 minutes, so wait before requesting another.
- Verify the email address — make sure you used the address you registered with, and check for typos.
- Whitelist Influxie emails — add our
influxie.comaddress to your safe senders so future emails aren’t blocked. - Resend, then contact support — request the email again (wait about 10 minutes between requests to avoid being blocked). If it still doesn’t arrive, contact support with your email address and they can help verify your account.
Google Login Problems
Issue: Google Sign-In Not Working
Symptoms:
- Clicking “Sign in with Google” does nothing
- Error message when using Google login
- Redirect loop back to login page
Solutions:
-
Verify your Google account:
- Make sure you’re using a valid Google account
- Check if Google is blocking third-party apps
- Review Google security settings
-
Clear Google permissions:
- Go to your Google Account settings
- Navigate to “Security” → “Third-party apps”
- Remove Influxie authorization
- Try signing in with Google again
-
Try email/password login:
- Use your email and password instead
- If you don’t have a password set, reset it
- This bypasses Google sign-in issues
Note: Google login intentionally skips both email verification and 2FA — Google’s own verification is trusted instead. If you sign up with Google, you will not be asked to activate your account or enter a 2FA code.
Account Access Issues
Issue: “You Don’t Have Access” Error
Symptoms:
- “You don’t have permission to view this” error
- Can’t access workspace or account
- Dashboard shows limited options
Solutions:
-
Check your role:
- Owner: Full access to everything
- Admin: Can manage but not delete the workspace
- Editor: Can manage accounts and settings
- Viewer: Read-only access
-
Contact your workspace owner/admin:
- Request increased permissions if needed
- Owner/admin can change your role
- Each user belongs to a single workspace — there is no workspace switcher
-
Verify you’re in the right account:
- You belong to one workspace only
- Confirm you are trying to access the correct Instagram account within that workspace
Too Many Login Attempts
Issue: “Too Many Attempts” Message
Symptoms:
- “Too many attempts, please try again later” message
- Can’t log in even with correct password
- Account temporarily locked
Solutions:
-
Wait a while before retrying:
- Influxie limits login attempts for security
- If you’ve tried too many times, you’ll need to wait before the lock clears
- The timer resets automatically after some time
-
Use the correct credentials:
- Verify your email and password before trying again
- Use “Forgot Password” if you’re unsure
- Don’t keep guessing passwords
-
Don’t keep trying:
- Waiting is the only way to clear the lock
- Repeated attempts won’t help
- Take a break and try again later
Browser Requirements
Use a modern, up-to-date browser with cookies and JavaScript enabled. If something isn’t working, try a different browser or an incognito/private window to rule out extension interference.
Note: The Instagram connection wizard is Chromium-only — use Chrome, Edge, or Brave for that step. Firefox and Safari will show an error during account setup.
