Managing Your Profile
Update your name and details, change your password, turn on 2FA, and (for non-owners) delete your Influxie account.
Managing Your Profile
Your Profile page is where you manage you — your personal Influxie login details. It’s separate from your Instagram accounts (those live on the Accounts page). From your profile you can update your name, change your password, turn on two-factor authentication, and delete your own account.
Where to Find Your Profile
- Sign in to Influxie
- Click Profile in the side menu
What You Can Change
Your Name
You can edit your display name at any time. This is the name other people in your workspace see.
Gender and Age Group
Two optional dropdowns — your gender and your age range. These help Influxie understand its users. You can change them or leave them blank.
Email (Read-Only)
Your email address is shown but cannot be changed here. If you need to use a different email, sign up with the new one instead.
Note: Your email is also where Influxie sends activation links, password resets, and important account emails — so make sure you can receive mail at that address.
Workspace (Read-Only)
This shows the name of the workspace you belong to, and your role in it (Owner, Admin, Editor, or Viewer). You can’t change this from your profile — workspace settings are managed by owners and admins. (See Team Collaboration.)
Change Your Password
There’s a separate Update password section:
- Open the Update password section
- Enter your new password (twice, to confirm)
- Save
Password rules: your password must be at least 8 characters and include all four of the following: an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character (like !, @, ?).
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Your profile has a Two-factor authentication toggle showing whether 2FA is on or off, with a link to turn it on or manage it. See our full Two-Factor Authentication guide for step-by-step instructions and how recovery codes work.
Delete Your Account
At the bottom of your profile is a Delete account option. This removes your personal Influxie login.
Who can use it: everyone except the workspace Owner.
- Editors, Admins, and Viewers: clicking Delete account asks you to confirm (“Are you sure you want to delete your account? This action cannot be undo.”). Confirm, and your personal account is removed. You’re sent back to the sign-in page.
- Owners: you’ll see a notice instead — “Cannot Delete Account — Owners cannot delete their account. Please transfer ownership to another member first.” An owner must transfer ownership to someone else before they can delete their own account.
This is different from cancelling an Instagram account. Deleting your profile removes your Influxie login. Cancelling an Instagram account’s subscription is a separate action — see Removing an Instagram Account.
Common Questions
Can I change my email address? Not from your profile — it’s read-only. To use a new email, sign up again with that address.
Why can’t the Owner delete their account? Because a workspace must always have exactly one Owner. The Owner has to hand the workspace to someone else first.
Does deleting my profile cancel my subscription? No. Deleting your personal login is separate from billing. If you’re the one paying, make sure billing and ownership are sorted out first — see Transferring Ownership and Removing an Instagram Account.
