Configuring Interaction Settings

The Interactions tab controls how Influxie looks at content — how long it lingers on a photo, how many videos it watches, and how many carousel posts it interacts with. These settings let you control the dwell time and watch duration per content type.

Targeting who the bot interacts with (hashtags, specific accounts, follow/unfollow, feed) is configured in the Engage tab, not here. The Interactions tab only tunes the viewing behaviour.

Where to Find Interaction Settings

  1. Go to your account page
  2. Click “Configurations”
  3. Select the “Interactions” tab

Autosave: There is no Save button. Every field saves itself automatically about half a second after you stop editing. Any change you make only affects future sessions — it never changes a session that is already running.

Image Content

Image content interaction is always on — you cannot turn it off. What you control is how long the bot lingers on each photo.

Image Watch Time

What It Does: Sets how many seconds Influxie views each photo before moving on. This is the dwell time per image.

A few seconds is plenty. There is no official “optimal” or “maximum” band — pick a value that suits your content.

Video Content

Video content has two settings: how many videos to watch per session, and how long to watch each one.

Number of Videos

What It Does: Sets how many videos Influxie will watch during each session. Start lower for new accounts and increase gradually over time.

Video Watch Time

What It Does: Sets how long each video is watched before moving on. Watching a good portion of each video means higher dwell time per video.

Carousels (Multi-Photo Posts)

A carousel is a single Instagram post that contains multiple photos (slides). The Interactions tab controls how many carousel posts the bot engages with — not how many slides it swipes within a post.

What It Does: Sets how many carousel posts Influxie will interact with during a session. Once Influxie opens a carousel, it swipes through the post as part of engaging with it; this limit caps the number of carousel posts it touches, per session. Start lower for new accounts and increase gradually over time.

Note: This is a count of carousel posts per session, not the number of slides swiped inside any one post.

For the targeting side — which accounts and posts the bot finds — see Configuring Engagement Settings.

Common Questions

Where do I set hashtags and target accounts? In the Engage tab, not here. The Interactions tab only controls viewing behaviour (watch times, video counts, carousel limit). Hashtag targeting, specific-account targeting, follow/unfollow, and feed settings all live in Engage.

Is there location targeting? No. Influxie does not offer location or geographic targeting. (The proxy region the bot connects from is resolved automatically and is not a user-facing setting.)

How many carousel slides does the bot swipe? That is not a separate setting. When Influxie engages with a carousel post it swipes through it. The Carousel interaction limit caps how many carousel posts it interacts with per session.

Why is watch time important? Watch time controls how long Influxie dwells on each piece of content. There is no “correct” value — set it to whatever suits your content.

Can I turn off image interaction? No. Image content interaction is always on. You can only adjust the watch time.
