Scheduling Sessions
Learn how to schedule recurring sessions, set a start time in your local timezone, and choose a safe run time.
Scheduling Sessions
Influxie does not have a “working hours” time-range setting. Instead, scheduling is built from two simple Session-tab controls: a single start time and a maximum run time. This guide explains how they work together, and how to pick a schedule that keeps your account safe.
Where to Find the Session Settings
- Go to your account page
- Click “Configurations”
- Select the “Session” tab
The Session tab contains four controls: Likes limit, Maximum run time, Reoccurring, and Start time.
Autosave: There is no Save button. Every field saves itself automatically about half a second after you stop editing. Any change you make only affects future sessions — it never changes a session that is already running.
The One Safety Rule
Influxie shows this warning on the Session tab for a reason:
“Do not use Instagram on any devices during these hours to avoid account suspension. Influxie recommends running your sessions while you sleep.”
In short: run your sessions while you sleep. When Influxie is logged into your Instagram account on its secure virtual phone, using Instagram yourself on any other device at the same time can trigger Instagram’s security checks and risk your account. The cleanest way to avoid that conflict is to let sessions run during hours you are not using the app.
This is the opposite of “only run sessions while you’re awake.” Schedule sessions for the window when you are comfortably asleep, and keep Instagram closed on your phone, tablet, and browser for that window.
Maximum Run Time
What It Does: Sets how long a single session is allowed to run.
Range: Between 1 and 6 hours.
Required: The bot will not run without a Maximum run time set. If it is missing, Influxie warns you to set it before starting a session.
Choosing a value:
- New accounts: Start at 1–2 hours per session.
- Established accounts: 2–4 hours is a comfortable middle ground.
- The hard ceiling is 6 hours — no session can run longer than this.
Run time is measured in hours, not minutes. One session per account can run at a time.
Reoccurring (Daily Schedule)
What It Does: Turns on a repeating daily schedule. When Reoccurring is on, Influxie starts a session automatically at your chosen Start time every day — all seven days of the week.
How it works:
- Tick the “Reoccurring” checkbox.
- Set a Start time.
- Confirm your Maximum run time.
- Influxie starts one session at that time each day, running for up to your Maximum run time.
There is no per-day toggle and no day-of-week selection. Reoccurring means a single daily session, every day. You cannot configure separate weekday and weekend schedules, and you cannot schedule multiple sessions per day. If you need different behaviour, change the Start time — there is only one.
Start Time
When it appears: Only when Reoccurring is turned on.
Timezone: Start time is in your local timezone (the timezone your browser uses). You do not need to convert anything to UTC — enter the time as you would read it on your own clock.
Whole hours only: Influxie forces minutes to :00. If you type 10:30, the start time is saved as 10:00. Plan your schedule around whole hours.
Choosing a time: Because of the safety rule above, the best Start time is the hour you are reliably asleep and not using Instagram — for most people, a late-evening or overnight hour. The session then runs while you sleep and finishes before you wake up and open the app.
Putting It Together
Example: A Safe Overnight Schedule
Reoccurring: Enabled
Start Time: 23:00 (your local time, whole hour)
Maximum Run Time: 3 hours
Result: One session starts at 11 PM every night, runs for up to 3 hours, and finishes before morning. Instagram stays closed on your devices overnight.
Example: New Account, Conservative
Reoccurring: Enabled
Start Time: 22:00 (your local time, whole hour)
Maximum Run Time: 1 hour
Result: A short, gentle session each night while you sleep.
Common Questions
Does Influxie have “working hours” or a time-range setting? No. Scheduling is one Start time plus a Maximum run time, repeated daily when Reoccurring is on. There is no daily window like “9 AM – 9 PM” that the bot stays within.
Do I need to convert my start time to UTC? No. The Start time uses your local timezone. Enter the time exactly as it appears on your clock.
Can I set minutes, like 10:30?
No — Influxie only accepts whole hours (for example, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00). Minutes are forced to :00.
Can I run more than one session per day? No. With Reoccurring on, you get one session per day at your chosen Start time. One session can run per account at a time.
Should I schedule sessions while I’m awake? Generally no. Influxie recommends running sessions while you sleep so you are not tempted to open Instagram at the same time. Using Instagram on another device during a session risks your account.
Does a schedule change affect a session that is already running? No. Schedule changes apply to future sessions only. A session already in progress keeps its original configuration until it finishes.
What happens at midnight? Nothing special. There is no midnight reset of a schedule. Each day Influxie simply starts the next session at your configured Start time.
