Introduction

The Influxie analytics dashboard is your command center for tracking Instagram growth and engagement performance. Understanding how to read and interpret these metrics will help you make data-driven decisions to optimize your growth strategy.

Accessing the Analytics Dashboard

The main Dashboard (labeled “Track your performance.”) is your top-level overview. It shows your Instagram growth and performance at a glance with:

  • View dropdown: time period selector (Last 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year—defaults to 30 days)
  • Profile dropdown: pick one Instagram account at a time (defaults to your first paid account)
  • A Follower growth line chart and a Session minutes line chart
  • Engagement breakdown stat cards: Likes, Total Watched (stories/videos), Followers Gained, and Following Gained—each with the percent change vs the previous period and a green or red arrow

For a per-account deep dive, open the Analytics tab on any account’s detail page for line charts of Session minutes, Followers, Following, and Session likes.

Time Period Selection

Use the View dropdown to choose how far back to look:

  • Last 7 days: See recent performance and the impact of recent changes
  • Last 14 days: A two-week window that smooths out daily noise
  • Last 30 days (default): Your typical month-to-month progress
  • Last 3 months: Track quarterly trends and patterns
  • Last 6 months: Analyze longer-term growth
  • Last 1 year: Evaluate your overall strategy effectiveness

All charts and stat cards update automatically to reflect your selected range. The default is 30 days.

Account Switching

If you manage multiple Instagram accounts, use the Profile dropdown near the top of the dashboard to switch between them (one account at a time, defaulting to your first paid account). Each account has its own separate analytics, so you can track performance individually.

Trial Expiration Banner

For Trial Users

If you’re on a free trial, an expiry banner appears in the page header showing the time remaining in your trial—days remaining, or hours remaining if you’re under 24 hours.

Why This Matters: Plan your trial evaluation period and subscribe before losing access to engagement and analytics.

Key Metrics Explained

Follower Growth

The dashboard shows follower growth as a line chart over the selected time period—the key view for tracking your progress, and the first place to check whether your strategy is working.

Growth Rate: Your percentage growth, useful for comparing different time periods.

The most recent captured total follower count is also available on the account’s Account Info tab (shown as “N/A” until the first session captures it), along with a “Total sessions” count.

Engagement Breakdown

The dashboard shows four engagement stat cards, each with the percent change vs the previous period and a green or red arrow:

  • Likes: Posts your sessions have liked
  • Total Watched (stories/videos): Stories and videos viewed through your sessions
  • Followers Gained: New followers in the selected period
  • Following Gained: Accounts you started following

Note: Comment, DM, and story-watch data is tracked under the hood, but on the per-account Analytics tab those line charts are switched off in the display (comments and DMs are upcoming features).

Session Activity

  • Session minutes (line chart): Total time your sessions have run in the selected period
  • Sessions tab: A paginated list of per-session reports (newest first, 10 per page). Each row shows the session date and a status badge—“Closing” (orange) or “Session error” (red), or just the date when the session ended normally. There are no aggregate “sessions started/completed” counters—open individual reports for per-session detail.

Reading the Charts

Follower Growth Chart

This line chart shows your follower count over time. Look for:

  • Upward Trend: Your strategy is working
  • Flat/Stable: You may need to adjust your targeting or settings
  • Declining: Your strategy needs revision

Daily ups and downs are normal—focus on the overall trend, not daily changes.

Session Minutes Chart

This line chart shows your total session time over the selected period. Regular session activity usually leads to more consistent growth. If you see gaps, you’re missing opportunities to grow.

Key Insight: High engagement without follower growth may mean you’re targeting the wrong audience.

Empty States

If you’re just starting out or selected a time period with no activity, the dashboard shows the heading “Nothing here.” with the body “Try changing the date range to start seeing insights here.” This means no sessions have run in that period yet.

Start your first session to begin collecting analytics.

Interpreting Your Analytics

What the Metrics Mean

Follower Growth Going Up: Your strategy is working—keep it up!

Follower Growth Flat: You may need to adjust your targeting, content, or engagement settings

Follower Growth Declining: It’s time to revisit your strategy and try a new approach

High Engagement but Low Growth: You’re reaching people, but they’re not following back. Try refining your target audience or improving your content quality

Low Engagement Across the Board: Your session settings might be too conservative. Consider increasing your per-session limits or expanding your targeting

Frequent Session Errors: You may need to adjust your per-session limits or targeting settings

Analytics Best Practices

Focus on trends rather than daily fluctuations, and use the View dropdown to compare periods (for example, this month vs. last month) to see whether changes you made are working.

Using Analytics for Decision Making

Let your data guide your decisions instead of guessing:

What’s Working?: Look at which sessions produced the most growth and what targeting methods worked best

What Needs Fixing?: Check for low growth despite high engagement, session errors, or unusual patterns

Test Changes One at a Time: Make one change, run sessions for 1-2 weeks, then compare your results. Keep what works, adjust what doesn’t.

Common Analytics Questions

Why isn’t my follower count updating?

Influxie captures your total follower count per session, so the value on the Account Info tab refreshes when your next session runs. If sessions are running but the count still hasn’t updated, contact support.

Why do my charts show gaps?

Gaps appear when no sessions ran during that time period. Consistent sessions produce continuous data.

Why are my numbers different from Instagram?

Slight timing differences are normal since Influxie updates periodically. The overall trends should match, even if exact numbers differ slightly.

What’s a good growth rate?

There is no universal answer — growth depends on your niche, targeting, content, and account history, so results vary widely from account to account. Influxie does not publish growth benchmarks. The healthiest approach is to compare your own results over time (this period vs the previous one) rather than chasing a specific percentage.
