Account Safety Best Practices
Using engagement tools responsibly is crucial for maintaining your Instagram account’s health and longevity. This guide covers essential safety practices to keep your account secure while growing with Influxie.
Understanding Account Safety
What Influxie Does to Protect You
Our platform incorporates safety features:
- Configurable timing: Randomized delays and timing between actions you set
- Conservative limits: Per-session limits you control
- Quality targeting: Focuses on real, engaged users
Core Safety Principles
1. Start Conservative
Begin with low per-session limits and increase them gradually over weeks. New accounts (under 3 months old) should start lower than established ones. Gradual increases keep activity volume moderate and reduce flagging risk — see the limits reference below for concrete starting suggestions.
2. Close Instagram on Other Devices
Before starting a session:
- Log out of Instagram on your phone
- Close the Instagram app completely (not just minimized)
- Check other devices: Personal phone, tablet, secondary phone, or computer
Why this matters:
- Instagram detects when the same account is active in multiple locations
- Simultaneous sessions from different devices can trigger security warnings
- Sessions may draw scrutiny if you’re also manually active on the account at the same time
3. Never Share Instagram Credentials
- Influxie does not store your login information
- Don’t share your Instagram password with anyone else
- Don’t use the same password across multiple platforms
4. Enable Two-Factor Authentication
- Protects against unauthorized access
- Adds security layer even if credentials are compromised
- Enter 2FA code when prompted during setup
Per-Session Limits: The Safety Foundation
Setting Conservative Limits
In your account configuration, the Session tab holds the Likes limit (mandatory). Follow and unfollow limits are set per session in the Engage tab. All limits are per session — there is no daily reset and sessions do not share a daily pool.
Important: Influxie does not publish hard per-session limits. The numbers below are cautious starting suggestions from the community, not official caps or guarantees. Your account’s safe limit depends on its age, history, and how Instagram responds. Start low, increase slowly, and back off the moment you see a warning or action block.
Likes Limit (Session tab, mandatory)
- Start: around 50 per session
- Increase gradually: Add ~25 per week if no issues
- Monitor: Watch for action blocks or warnings
Follows Limit (Engage tab)
- New accounts: Start at 20-30 per session
- Established accounts: Can work up toward 50-80
- Growth rate: Focus on quality over quantity
Unfollows Limit (Engage tab)
- Recommended: 20-50 per session
- Ratio: Keep follows:unfollows around 2:1 or 3:1
- Timing: Don’t unfollow immediately after following
Timing and Behavior Patterns
Run Sessions While You Sleep
Influxie’s scheduling is built around one rule:
Do not use Instagram on any devices during these hours to avoid account suspension. Influxie recommends running your sessions while you sleep.
Sessions run from a single Start time (your local timezone, whole hours only) for a Maximum run time of 1–6 hours. The simplest safe pattern is to set a start time that falls within your sleep window so Instagram stays closed on all of your devices for the full duration.
Session Duration
Maximum run time: 1–6 hours per session (this field is required — a session will not start without it) Frequency: one scheduled start time per day when Reoccurring is enabled Minimum: 1 hour
Targeting Quality Over Quantity
Hashtag Targeting
- Use relevant hashtags (you can add up to 20 in the Engage tab)
- Mix popular and niche hashtags
- Rotate hashtags periodically (rotation is manual)
- Don’t target only huge hashtags (over 1 million posts)
Targeting Controls That Exist
Influxie does not have “minimum followers”, “bio required”, or “profile picture required” filters. The one relevant control is the minimum following limit (default 50), which skips accounts that follow very few people. Focus your quality efforts on choosing good hashtags and the right similar accounts to target instead of relying on filters that don’t exist.
Activity Monitoring
Watch for These Warning Signs
Action Blocks
Symptoms:
- “Action Blocked” message
- Unable to follow/like temporarily
- Session shows errors
What to do:
- Stop all sessions immediately
- Wait 24-48 hours before resuming
- Reduce your limits by 50%
Warnings from Instagram
Email or in-app messages:
- “Your account was compromised”
- “Unusual login attempt”
- “You temporarily blocked”
What to do:
- Stop all sessions immediately
- Follow Instagram’s instructions (verify identity, etc.)
- Wait 5-7 days before resuming
- Reduce activity significantly
Sudden Growth Spikes
Symptoms:
- Unusually high follow-back rate
- Large engagement numbers quickly
What to do:
- Good sign: Your targeting is working
- Monitor closely: Ensure it’s not triggering flags
- Don’t increase limits: Maintain current pace
What to Do If Flagged
Immediate Actions
- Stop all sessions
- Don’t attempt to manually like/follow excessively
- Wait 24-72 hours before any activity
- Review and reduce your per-session limits
Short-Term Adjustments
After a warning or block, reduce limits by 50%:
Follows: 30/session → 15/session Likes: 100/session → 50/session Unfollows: 40/session → 20/session
Duration: Maintain reduced levels for 1-2 weeks
Long-Term Recovery
If issues persist:
- Take a break from sessions for 1-2 weeks
- Use only manual activity during the break
- Resume at very low levels (50% of previous)
- Increase very gradually over 4-6 weeks
Safety Checklist
Before starting each session:
- Instagram closed on all other devices
- Limits are within recommended ranges
- Maximum run time set (1–6 hours)
- Start time set to a whole hour when you can keep Instagram closed
- Target lists are quality-focused
- No recent warnings from Instagram
- Previous sessions completed without errors
- Account has warmed up (if new)
FAQ
Not affiliated with Meta or Instagram. Influxie is an independent tool. No tool that performs actions on your behalf can guarantee your account won’t be actioned — Instagram’s terms generally prohibit running those actions via third-party tools. See our Privacy Policy and Terms for the full details.
Can I use Instagram manually while sessions run?
No. Close Instagram on all devices before starting a session. Manual activity during a running session increases flagging risk.
What if I get an “Action Blocked” message?
Stop all sessions immediately, wait 24-48 hours, and reduce your limits by 50% before resuming.
Is there a “safe” number of actions per session?
Safety depends on account age, history, and other factors. Start with the conservative limits in this guide and increase gradually. Influxie does not publish hard caps — the suggestions here are community guidelines.
Can Influxie guarantee my account won’t be flagged?
No engagement tool can guarantee 100% safety. Following these best practices significantly reduces risk.
